Darlene is passionate about Missions!

At 8 years of age in a little school in London Ontario Canada, Darlene had a remarkable grade 3 teacher, June Deacon, who had a profound impact on her life.

Miss Deacon was home on a year long sabbatical from her position as school director and director of a children’s orphanage in Kenya, to look after her auntie.

Even though she was not yet saved, Darlene began serving in her community in ways that reflected what she learned from Miss Deacon. Eventually her service took her from locally to globally serving others; as a rep at the first ever-Christian pavilion at the 1986 World’s Fair in Vancouver, BC, urban Richmond, Va., various cities throughout the US, Charlotte, NC, Cape Town, South Africa, Haiti, and Lagos Nigeria.

Recreating a highlight of her childhood, one of Darlene’s most outstanding service events was organizing 4 Christmas parties that provided fun, gifts and celebrating Jesus with over 1200 children in one weekend. Since the conception of PowerTeam Inc. in 1999, Darlene has lead thousands of children to the Lord.

Her most recent achievement was a result of a promise she made to Fred just days before he went home to be with the Lord…. Honey, please get your doctorate.

Graduation

Receiving this degree has literally changed the destiny and projectory of Darlene’s life from child evangelist to educator.

Darlene is the mother of two awesome young men and grandmother to two beautiful girls.
