On Jan. 27, I took the Naturalization Oath of Allegiance to the United States of America in Greer, SC. This was one of Fred’s goals for me. He wanted me to apply back in 2009, but at that time he was very ill, and my focus was in caring for him. So, as you can imagine, the swearing in day was mixed with emotions, but I decided to focus on the joyful celebration of finally becoming an American.
My Czech friend Svetlana Andel and her son, Lucas, came as my family support.

In other news, the Lord gave me an amazing dream that I was pregnant with twins, and I was huge! I knew as soon as I woke up that it had to do with my work in Nigeria. My plans are still moving forward to travel there this spring to launch a K-12 school (Pneuma Sophia), and to develop a daycare. I am currently in need of some items, and would appreciate your help.
- Used iphone 6+ that is able to install a Nigerian SIM card
- Kitchen Items:
- Cast iron 9” frying pan, 5 qt. Dutch oven, 2 qt. sauce pan
- (The stoves are propane so I need heavy duty pots.)
- Cutlery
- Step down transformer for appliances, or
- dedicated funds to purchase a used one in Nigeria ($100)
- Lightweight printer, copier, scanner
- that is easy on ink
- Cots and linens
- Toddler activity table
- Construction paper (all colors)
- Zip lock bags (all sizes)
Keep in mind, tax receipts will be issued for any donated items.
If you can help with any of these items, please contact me at PT@PowerTeamInc.org. Thank you to Terrie who provided scrubs/uniforms for the daycare staff and a village of homeless families, as well as, the brand new Kenmore sewing machine. It is much appreciated!
In addition, please pray that the processes for my American passport, as well as my application for a Nigerian multi-entrance 2-year Visa will go smoothly. Also, pray for me to stay focused and in peace. There is much to do—collecting donations, preparing for travel, etc.
Lastly, a big heart-felt thank you to those who donated during the 2016 Year-end Giving Campaign. Your tax receipts have been mailed.
Again, thank you for your continued prayers and financial support. I couldn’t do any of this without God and you!
With gratitude,
